Peace and Comfort ~
Philippians 4:7King James Version (KJV)
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I wanted to write each of you this morning and share with you how this verse has been so true for us the last week. I have people telling me how strong I am, how faithful I am, and how my faith has encouraged them. Yes, I have this peace the peace that God promises, but I must tell you that it is a gift, this peace is a result of your prayers and petitions and Gods Love for us.
I have never felt more helpless and brokenhearted in my life and yet each day its almost as if I am being carried. I am able to meet the needs of the day with peace and at times even joy.
We continue to work with Hospice and last week all of Gary's siblings were able to spend a very precious week with us. Our son Paul has been here over the weekend and today his wife and our granddaughter will be joining us for three days as well as our youngest daughter Stephanie.
As Gary is unable to stay alone and I am in need of relief at time I am asking for help from friends and family that would be willing to stay with Gary several hours during the day and for those that would be willing to help overnight if needed. You can post your name in the comment section with your name and what you are willing to do. We attempted to hire some help for the night times but the cost was exorbitant and I did not like the idea of leaving Gary with strangers.
I also need some things from Costco, you are headed that way and can help me with this chore you can leave that in the comment section also and how I can contact you.
Lastly, may I thank you for your finical support, in one day we raised 1,900$. I am encouraged and blessed by your response and I am also sure that God because he has provided for our every need.
I wish I could put into the words I desire that what your love and support have meant to our family. But for now I will trust that God will impress on you how ever he chooses to relay this message to each of you as He alone guides you in your continued support and love for our family. Dawn, I would be happy to stay with Gary for a few hours day or night over the next few days. The only time I have to block out is tomorrow (Tuesday) between 10:30am to 1:30pm. Tim Hood 831.479.4644

I'm so happy that you have a great community of believers close by willing to step in and help. We continue with our prayers for the Barton family from Texas and are so thankful for the time you have had with your children and Gary's sisters. It is heart breaking knowing what you are going through and yet we are encouraged by your transparency, faith, and experiencing the joy even in the midst of your greatest trial. Love you.... Dawn and Gary, the rest of the Barton family, As has been evidenced through this fight, God is receiving the glory and honor through your obedience to His word. It seems paradoxical to enjoy peace and have joy during times of such heartbreak, pain and suffering, but I can totally understand and relate to your feelings. I am continuing to lift all of you up in prayer, that you stay encouraged and Gary will finish the race, as you all will, and receive God's commendation: Well done, good and faithful servant!

Dear Dawn, Gary and family; We in Colorado wish we were closer and could come and help but since that is impossible our prayers for your continued strength and courage continue to be with you. I know it is God giving you what you need day by day, hour by hour and minute by minute. I am thankful that you are willing to share with us so that we could know how to pray and uplift you and just wish we could help. God is faithful and His peace is beyond understanding. Dawn, Sending love, prayers and positive thoughts to you all. You are so strong as evidenced with your posts and updates. I can't imagine the pain and helplessness your experiencing. Gary has been so strong and having the love of his life by his side is your greatest gift...We love you both and you're my greatest inspiration. Praying you get the help you need Dawn, so Gary can get the care he need. Being a caregiver 24/7 is so hard. I couldn't have done it if my kids hadn't spent the night and most of the day the last week or so of Denny's life. Hospice is great but their not there very often. I wish I was closer so I could help you out. Praying God continues to meet all your needs and gives you strength for each moment, that He continues to carry you and Gary with his Love and Peace.
