An Ooops.

We found out on Wednesday that the Doctors at the San Diego Hospital called Ev's doctor in Brockville (last weekend!) and were told he could help get her into the Brockville hospital - since he has doctor privileges at that hospital. Since they were told this, they didn't even have Ev on the list for the Kingston General Hospital. Very frustrating. 

Also, we found out yesterday (after she FINALLY got on the list for KGH) that she won't be going to KGH because they are on lockdown due to flu/pneumonia. 

She has received more blood transfusions in this time.

She has gotten out of bed and sat up for meals which is great. Mom says she sounded stronger on the phone last night.

I have not called in the last two days for fear of waking her and since mom is calling too now, I don't want to tire Evie out too much. I will be calling her today.

Due to weather, she likely won't be traveling today even if a bed does open up. This is supremely frustrating and we are all anxious to have her home.
