Time For The Head Shave; Infusion 5 Quick Update
I've been stubbornly holding onto my hair since I began chemo almost 3 months ago. After determining that it's become increasingly thin and patchy, I finally decided to shave my head. See picture below, Caleb watching me do it.

Update on Infusion 5: More of the same stuff, the infusion went fine, my white blood count is low again, so they needed to give me another shot of Neulasta (which I found out was $4k per injection because I thought they fat fingered the price). Side effects afterwards were similar, concentrated in fatigue and nausea, but my feet are increasingly dry due to what is called hand-foot syndrome, which is making it more and more difficult to walk.
My CEA number continues to drop, and is currently 4.4, now within in the normal range (0 - 5 for individuals not diagnosed with cancer). At this point, it's expected to fluctuate a bit and may increase slightly, but as long as it stays low, we're in good shape!
