Working on it!
Despite the beautiful day and fun visitors for lunch, Joe still had a pretty rough day. His numbers are still down with WBC at .2, HCT at 26.8 and Platelets were at 9 again. He got a good dose of Potassium today and another transfusion of Platelets. If today's dose of platelets don't raise his number, they will have to start a process to do more specific matching to get his numbers up. I anticipate tomorrow he may have to have another red blood transfusion as well.
He started running a low temp at 99.4 and his blood pressure was up a bit tonight at 158/86. The RN staff doesn't seem to concerned about these numbers at this point.
He's feeling pretty "icky". Lots of stomach grumbling and cramps. Definitely not his chipper self.
We did have an opportunity to talk with the doctor about his weight gain and no worries. Its from all the fluids and blood transfusions. Once he is more stable, they will give him some meds to remove the fluids. Despite that, he's not swelling which is a good sign.
Thanks for all your continued prayers!
