January 20th and 21st,
I was feeling very lazy the past two days, so my posts suffered. I want to start today's posts by letting everyone know that I have read every comment, post, email or text that all of you have sent me and I am touched by the outpouring. It is amazing and humbling that so many people care about my wellbeing. Thank you.
Today we hung my 6th chemo bag out of 7 total. As of this writing, I have approximately 45 more hours of continuous drip chemo. I know this may seem like a weird number to everyone, but to me it is how I get to the finish line. I have to break this process down into small achievable chunks that I can stay focused on and have small wins along the way. Thinking about the total process bums me out.
I spoke to the doctor today and he said things are going well, and boring is good. So far nothing has popped up to cause us unusual problems. Again boring is good, I want it to stay this way. I can tell that I am getting a little weaker each day, but this is to be expected as they take my immune system down. I have to hit the bottom before I can rise back up....I am ready.
Thank you all for your support.
