March 5th, 2018

This week has been busy.  This morning I finished up my 6th dose of chemo in the past 5 days.  I was in and out of the hospital for the doses but it went pretty smooth, they have it down.  I now have roughly two weeks off before going back for the next round.  The doctors and nurses all agree that over the next few days I will get beat down by the chemo I just got.  It will push all my blood cell / platelet numbers back down which is when I start getting tired and food loses it taste.  On the up side they also agree that it should not be as bad as before and I should recover faster.

As of today I feel pretty good and will be working on small home projects that Karen deems non dangerous - tackling the leaking faucet, painting, caulking, maybe organizing the file cabinet.  I feel these are not dangerous enough for my skill set so there will be ongoing negotiations.  Putting moss killer on the roof is probably out for the time being, but we will need to find some middle ground.  I promise I will not put myself in harms way or expose myself to dangerous chemicals or situations.

Karen's response - Kevin, we have already compromised and negotiations are complete :)

I look forward to the getting to the end of this trial, getting healthy enough to come see all of you.  It is no fun to be isolated from the people you want to visit.

Kevin, Thank goodness you have Karen keeping you in line otherwise the doctors would be putting a cast on your arm or leg after you fell off the ladder!! Enjoy no chores, Karen will be asking you to do them again in short order!! Frank would love it if I wasn't asking him to go mow the grass!! Take care, Kit
