Field Trip
At lunch, another patient told me he makes a point to visit the animals outside everyday. I was eager to meet these furry new friends, and this afternoon my mom took me for a stroll around the animal homes. I enjoyed the chance not only to see the animals but to be outside for the first time in a week.
I'm "getting stuck in" (as my British friend taught me) to physical therapy and learning the German language. It's all a lot of hard work and pretty exhausting. I'd appreciate your prayers for strength and energy as I continue through the day to day doing my best to live out Colossians 3:23.

Strength and energy...yes...will do!!
What kind of animals? Sounds cool! Glad you got to get out and enjoy the outdoors!
Hello dear Laura and Mrs. Hewett, So glad you got outside today! Here are a couple verses that we wanted to pass on to you: "Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will WALK in the light of your presence, Lord. They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation. They exult in your righteousness. You are their glorious strength. It pleases you to make us strong." Ps. 89:15-17 Yes, praying for strength and courage and joy for you two!
Hey, that's a pretty scarf you got there. It's the only one I packed cuz I'm kinda biased ;-) we love you and can't wait to see you tomorrow! Prepare to be amazed. Hahaha... you'll see.
Great to see you two outside. Yes, What kind of animals?
Love that smile! Praying for you!
Praying constantly friend...All the way down to your Schwann cells!! So good to see that smile, too! :)
Yea!!! "Talk to the animals and walk with the animals and . . . !" Not sure anymore exactly how that song goes! I found another Psalm for you - Psalm 20. 1 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you! 2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion! 3 May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah 4 May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans! 5 May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! 6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. 9 O Lord, save [Laura]! May he answer us when we call.
Praying you will rise and stand upright! :-)
What a beautiful picture with the two of you. Prayers continue, and I know what you mean about the German. It's daunting, but it may actually be the best way for you to learn! See, you have all kinds of special opportunities. ;) Grace and I are planning to see you next Sunday. Maybe this time we'll actually get to talk a minute or two@
I agree with Ginger - a beautiful picture of you and your Mom! Praying for super strength, lots of solid rest, and energy to complete each day's session(s).
I also love the picture of you and your mom. You are doing an amazing job! I'll pray that He will keep you in the palm of His hand and give you His strength when you are weak.
