End of Day 2, Round 1
I don't have a whole lot to report about today. I am pretty sure that's a good thing.
10:00
Mike's nurse Brooke talked to us some more about chemo education. She asked Mike if he's ready to do this. He declined. She told him too bad. So, she won, and she hooked up the mixture of hazardous medications so they could get to work eradicating those cells that got a little out of control in his body.
The rest of the day has been completely uneventful. We have walked the hallway many times. I told Mike he needs to keep up with another guy from this floor that walks alllllllllll day! He's the chemo idol around here.
I went out an got a few groceries/snacks for us. Mike says we'll have to watch them in the community fridge because the nurses seem a little ornery an they might steal his food. I doubt they want broccoli & carrots. I sure don't want broccoli and carrots.
Now we are sitting here in the quiet of the evening and watching the KU vs KSU game. The Hawks better pull this one off! I'll be heading back to the hotel soon to get some sleep. I don't think they will have to come in to bug Mike so much tonight so hopefully he gets some sleep, too.
Much Love
xoxo
Robin
