I went to the Bank of Atchison today and opened a benefit account for Mike and Robin to try and help with all the expenses they have had and will have down the road. Anyone who would like to donate can walk in or mail to Bank of Atchison, 701 Kansas Avenue, Atchison Ks. 66002 c/o Mike Horton Benefit. My wife and I are planning a benefit dinner also and I will post the info when the arrangements are final. Keep your spirits up, happy days will be here soon.

A Message From Robin

So many people have reached out to help us in so many ways. We will forever be grateful. Friends from Atchison as well as my hometown of Seneca have shown us what a wonderful place we live in. There will be more information coming soon, but I thought I'd also take this opportunity to let you know that there is going to be a Benefit Dinner and auction in Seneca on April 10th.

This journey has already taught us so many things, but one thing, in particular, that we've learned is how to graciously receive. Pride stands in the way so many times in life. Work comes first all too often. We are learning many lessons. To hear Mike say, "I'm done working my life away. I've realized my family is the most important thing I have." brings tears to my eyes. I hate that cancer had to be the vessel to open our eyes to what a beautiful thing we have going here. But it did, and our eyes and hearts are wide open now. Life is just too short. We are so thankful, from the bottoms of our hearts to all of you... for reasons that I could list, but I have a baby to cuddle, so I'm going to cut this short.
