Day +11 |1-29-17|

I got the chance to go home yesterday and spend time with the kids. At first I thought it was a huge mistake because it was like all of the strength Molly had been showing these past few weeks dissipated and she was really emotional. I worried that I made things harder for her. So I asked her and Lucy if they wanted to go spend some time doing something fun and they were really excited. Little did they know, it was more healing and rejuvenating for me to have a little time away with them.

We went to St. Joe and when we got to the movie theater, they couldn't believe we were going to a movie "during the day!" Kids are so funny! We watched the movie Sing. Molly really liked it, and 3/4 of the ways through Lucy asked if we could just go to Target because the movie was just taking too long!

After the movie we did go to Target, and then they chose Chic-Fil-A for dinner.

I had to leave shortly after we got home, but I think it ended up being exactly what we all needed to get us through the last leg of this trip.

Last night Mike went through some mail we received, and he was so entertained by all of the letters that the kindergarteners wrote him. They sent get well wishes, and suggestions for what could help him feel better. Every single one made him smile as he read them aloud. I think Isabella meant to write her letter to me when she said that chocolate cake will help. That girl gets me!

We are getting ready to head back to the clinic for his daily blood tests, and I'm feeling strong and ready to take on these next few days. I wish I could say Mike is feeling the same, but I know he will get there eventually. Everyday is getting a tiny bit better. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Finally.

So glad you got to spend some time with the girls! Molly is so tough at school! I happened to be delivering snacks to the kindergarten room when Molly was telling about her dad. She is so knowledgeable for her age! I hope you all will be home together soon. Healing seems to be so much better at home if it is safe!
