Miraculous Invocation to St. Thérèse

Charles Anne, a 23-year-old seminarian, was dying from advanced pulmonary tuberculosis. The night he thought he was dying, Charles prayed to Thérèse. Afterward, the examining doctor testified, "The destroyed and ravaged lungs had been replaced by new lungs, carrying out their normal functions and about to revive the entire organism." This is one of the miracles that led to the beatification of St. Thérèse of Lisieux.

Our family has always held a strong devotion to St. Thérèse and so we pray:

O Glorious St. Thérèse,

whom Almighty God has raised up to aid

and inspire the human family,

I implore your Miraculous Intercession.

You are so powerful in obtaining every need

of body and spirit from the Heart of God.

Holy Mother Church proclaims you "Prodigy of Miracles...

the greatest saint of Modern Times."

Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition

to heal our sweet Michael

and to carry out your promises of

spending heaven doing good on earth...

of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses.

Little Flower, give me your childlike faith,

to see the Face of God

in the people and experiences of my life,

and to love God with full confidence.

St. Thérèse, my Carmelite Sister,

I will fulfill your plea "to be made known everywhere"

and I will continue to lead others to Jesus through you.

Amen.

I am just one of the multitude of people out here whom you have never met, but are praying so diligently for Michael’s recovery. My son goes to school with Michael, and I know I speak for so many parents who want you to know how much we are thinking of you and your family. We are praying. We are here.

We join you in prayer. One of our sons was baptized on St. Therese's feast day. She holds a special place in our hearts as well. So many in Virginia continue to hound Heaven for you, Michael. My friend's son, Michael, is fighting t-cell leukemia. He's 9-years-old and in the hospital this week for chemo. He offered a Rosary for you yesterday.

I saw a vision of Michael last night at 12:12 pm and he had a determined facial expression as he stood and he was not giving up!! That’s what we all are doing as well... not giving up as we know the Lord can work miraculously to praise His name! Michael we are pulling and praying for you!! Lori Minor

Thank you God for sharing your son, Jesus. To the faithful who know you are in control and the price of sin was paid by him. Not ours, but your will be done. Bless Michael, a child of yours. AMEN.

Thank you all for resurrecting my LOVE for St. Thérèse; It's been far too long since I've prayed to her! Michaels very SUFFERING continues to bring US closer to our merciful God. And as a result of THAT ONGOING MIRACLE, I feel inspired to pass along a very brief summary of St. Thérèse's life gift to us. Just think of how all of our prayers FOR MICHAEL have impacted OUR relationship with God AND with those around us! How about all those who have RESTORED their relationship with God as a DIRECT result of MICHAEL'S SUFFERING! God is using Michael's suffering at this very moment to change lives, and I believe that his health WILL be RESTORED when God's purpose for it is fulfilled. (Romans 8:28) St. Thérèse developed a simple spirituality, based on childlike trust and confidence in God. The spirituality of her “little way” was not about extraordinary things – but rather about doing simple things of life well and with extraordinary love. She believed and taught that “everything is grace” – God’s face and presence could be experienced in every person and situation of our lives, if we just attend with love and expectancy. Her struggle, like ours, is to be where God places us in the real life situations of our lives. Dear Michael, because of your suffering, and the suffering of your family, WE feel closer to God. We discover for the FIRST time, or REdiscover St. Thérèse, St. Bernadine, Our Blessed Mother, Our Lord Jesus, and God's Mercy. God is using YOU Mike, in establishing his Kingdom here on earth. Love you Mike, Melissa, Spencer, Faith, Sarah, and Tim.
