Quick update from Bill on Shannon & Miss Shannon's Cancer Benefit

Just a quick note on Shannon and some exciting announcements about the benefit on May 15, 2016.

I think Shannon and I would call it a small victory that we didn't need an urgent care or emergency room visit and or a trip to the hospital during this last round of chemo.  It was pretty rocky but just being able to manage it all at home and not have to make a trip anywhere feels like progress. Shannon is feeling better each day with this week being her off week from chemo.  Her next and hopefully last round of this chemo is scheduled for 4/18.  Then we will see what the docs say.  The ole wait and see game.

NOW FOR THE  TWO EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!!!

1. Exciting announcement #1 -  I am meeting with a few folks tonight at Lee's Liquor Lounge for a site meeting.  We are going to live-stream her entire benefit for those that can't make it.  So if you are too far away or have another commitment that day and can't make it down you will be able to catch it online.  We will post more details as they become available.  We would love to see as many people at Lee's to try and set a one day attendance record so we hope to see you there.  
2. Exciting announcement #2 -  Our good friends the South Side Aces have some exciting news about this Thursday and Miss Shannon's Benefit which they are playing on 5/15.

Last year around this time, swing dancer extraordinaire Shannon Butler picked out songs for an amazing night of dance music - the lady knows her stuff. We're having her do it again, since she pretty much nailed it last time around.

As many of you know, Shannon, with Bill at her side, is in the middle of an epic battle - the enemy: cancer. Shannon herself will make an appearance if she can, but in the event she needs to stay home, we will be live streaming the whole shebang. (special thanks to Patrick) Whether or not you know Shannon (she's awesome, by the way), come on down and show your support!

You will also be able to record your messages of love and cheerleading pyramids and dance moves for Shannon.

We will also be audio recording the band, and making a CD, - sales of which will all go to support Shannon.
Shannon's official fundraiser is happening at Lee's on the 15th of May, and you'll be able to buy the CD there.

This night is a spirit-raiser only. a FUNraiser! Let's all dance dance dance for Shannon, until she can light up the floor again.

Shannon and I have just been overwhelmed, in a good way, by all the love, support, generosity, prayers, well wishes and healing vibes that have been sent our way.  I can say this with 100% conviction, we couldn't be doing this without all the support.  We will never be able to thank you all, but know that we hold a special place in our hearts for each one of you that has reached out to us.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
