Treatment Options and You…
First know that I appreciate your concern. There is no one else, save maybe Shannon’s parents, siblings or my parents that want a healthy Shannon more than me. The only thing I want is for Shannon to get better and I know that you do as well. (Oh, and for the Wild to win a Stanley Cup, but it is second place to Shannon, close second…)
We have put 100% of our trust in Shannon’s medical team at Regions Cancer Center and the medical treatment that Shannon is currently undertaking. We have consulted with Oncologists, Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, Palliative Care, Nutritionists, Acupuncture, Healing Touch, Reflexology and a few others that have helped to come up with the chosen course of treatment. Doctors at other treatment centers including the U of M and Mayo Clinic have also been consulted and continue to be consulted. We are confident that we are on the right path. If we had any doubt about the path she is on, believe me when I say we would change what we are doing. That said, we have ZERO doubt about the treatment plan.
To date, we both have received many unsolicited articles and pieces of information on “Miracle Cures for Cancer”; “Cancer Cures Your Doctor Won’t Tell You”; “My Stage IV Cancer was Cured With….”; “Why am I Still Alive?”; and “You’ll Never Believe What Cured My Cancer!”.
While well intentioned, these articles have become a distraction. We would like to make it clear we have no interest in deviating from Shannon’s current treatment regimen.
I ask that you kindly refrain from sending information on “Miracle Cures” that are untested by the greater scientific community. While I have received quite a few of these, Shannon has received a great many more, sometimes in duplicate or triplicate. I know you all want Shannon to beat this cancer and be well. However, given the acute nature of not just her cancer, but some of the other secondary health issues that the cancer has caused, it is vital that she stay the course.
Should you get the urge to send us a link, message, email or video to a “Miracle Cure” you have heard about, take a deep breath and count to 10, and instead send a cat or fox video to Shannon or a hockey video to me. Better yet, say a prayer, healing thought or positive vibe our way as those are most appreciated.
Thank you for the love and support you have all given and continue to share with us on a daily basis.

Nailed it again Bill!!
Goodspeed to you both
Finding your softer side is as beneficial to Shannon's recovery as her treatment. It's a life changing journey so learn all you can about yourselves and be in the present. I hold you both in my heart.
Very very well said - I experienced this also during my journey and I didn't handle it as well as you! Thank you for sending this message to all. Blessings to you both.
