Day 162.... Part II
Just spoke with the surgeon and he said “Everything went fine, there were no complications.” He was able to remove the tumor and there was no sign that it had spread to any other organs or tissue. We will have to wait until Thursday to get the pathology on the surrounding lymph nodes.
The short answer is SUCCESS!!!! There are still hard days ahead in recovery and 2 more months of chemo but THE FUCKING TUMOR IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
I am suddenly very tired…

Go Team Shannon! Thank you for the update, Bill. I'm so thankful for the good news of Shannon's successful surgery and 1:00 a.m. walk and continue to send many prayers your way. The good wishes and prayers you and Shannon receive are truly a reflection of the kindness and love you share with everyone you meet. It's coming back to you ten-fold.
We were waiting to hear your news of Shannon's successful surgery with baited breath. What a huge sigh of relief to hear they got it all. I interrupted a set on the stage where Tony was playing with the Mouldy Figs at the Bungalow last night so I could tell him and Chazz the good news. We all shouted a Hurrah that could be heard all the way to Rochester. So glad for you both. What a long haul. Love, Mimi & Chazz
I am crying for you both - happy, relieved tears, of course! What amazing news! I continue to send my love and prayers to you both!
What a relief it is for it to be gone, isn't it? My mom had breast cancer last year, and I had a similar reaction (relief-exhaustion) after the surgery. Love and high fives to you both. ♥️♥️♥️
