Day 162.... Part II

Just spoke with the surgeon and he said “Everything went fine, there were no complications.”  He was able to remove the tumor and there was no sign that it had spread to any other organs or tissue.  We will have to wait until Thursday to get the pathology on the surrounding lymph nodes.

The short answer is SUCCESS!!!!  There are still hard days ahead in recovery and 2 more months of chemo but THE FUCKING TUMOR IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!

I am suddenly very tired…

Get some rest Bill. I'm so happy that that tumor removal was a success, and the remaining chemo will also be successful. "Keep the Faith".

Fantastic news. Just having the damn thing out is uplifting and will make you both feel better. At least, that's the way Corey and I felt when my tumor was removed in December. Praying for a swift and complication-free recovery.

We were waiting to hear your news of Shannon's successful surgery with baited breath. What a huge sigh of relief to hear they got it all. I interrupted a set on the stage where Tony was playing with the Mouldy Figs at the Bungalow last night so I could tell him and Chazz the good news. We all shouted a Hurrah that could be heard all the way to Rochester. So glad for you both. What a long haul. Love, Mimi & Chazz

What a relief it is for it to be gone, isn't it? My mom had breast cancer last year, and I had a similar reaction (relief-exhaustion) after the surgery. Love and high fives to you both. ♥️♥️♥️
