Peter's Status - May 20

For the May 24th long weekend, Peter Mockler took his entire family to Montreal.  The purpose of the trip was to join in the celebration of life for Lyn's eldest brother, Roger Garon.

Unfortunately before the celebration, Peter experienced a serious fall and was taken to the Montreal General Hospital late on the evening of May 18th.  He was diagnosed with bleeding on the brain and underwent surgery for several hours in the early hours of May 19th.

Since then, Peter has been sedated and not in communication.  He is being well taken care of as the Doctors face such issues as fever management, pneumonia, minor strokes etc. Peter is in the midst of a critical period.

The prognosis at this point is - be patient and wait - time is required to take its course.

Lyn, Meagan and Brent are at Peter's side.  They are a strong united front with Peter every step of the way.  They are allowed in his room to provide the required love and positive encouragement that Peter needs at this time.

As of today, they met with a social worker at the Hospital who has provided some guidance on how they can best interact with Peter.  As well, she is providing some assistance with temporary accommodations for their extended stay in Montreal.

It is anticipated that Peter faces a long recovery process - details unknown as of this point in time.

Please check in to this website once and awhile for updates on Peter.  It's not likely that there will be daily updates but whenever there is news, it will be posted.

To keep the info flow lively, post your best wishes for Peter. As well, tell us your Peter Mockler stories.  The family already know he is an animated, spirited story teller - it's a good time  to hear stories told about Peter!
