7 Year Anniversary & Camp Begins

In the midst of all the literal and figurative headaches, exhaustion, good family connections, details, chores, planning, naps, sleepless nights, learning and take-it-minute-by-minute life that our world has become, Peter and I were well enough to spend a few hours alone together tonight to celebrate our 7th anniversary. Peter enjoyed his first good, "real" meal (in what felt like weeks), and we talked, prayed and just got a minute to catch our breath. It was exactly what our hearts, minds and spirits needed.

WorshipArts Camp began today, and we've been supported beyond anything we could ask or imagine with the team God has brought to pour into these students. There are so many amazing people helping and I know I'm going to miss 1/2 of you, but thank you to Will Wright, Austin Long, Lewis Wright, Andrew Beauman, Rob Kerschbaum, Madison, Lindsey and Darienne Peake, Hannah Balasa, and so many others. We love you!!

We have our oncology appointment officially moved sooner, to Wednesday, to get our long meeting with our Doctor and move forward with treatment. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers! Today we have had our best day yet. We stayed on top of the pain and lots of other good things happened today--Peter even got to visit camp!! Please pray for me, I haven't been sleeping well at all. And continue to pray for the cancer to LEAVE in Jesus' name!

We love you so much!!!

What a lovely evening! And what a thrill for TheCamp to have Peter show up! (And what a thrill for Peter to be ABLE to show up!!!) Excited about starting the oncology process. Feeling like these are the people that will soon be scratching their heads as God begins blowing their grid apart!

Continuing in prayer, Lord provide all necessary rest for each of them, and Your healing touch as they sleep. Encounter and encourage them and allow them to set down anything you are not asking them to carry. For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright. Happy anniversary to you both. We are praying daily. I know God has something amazing in store for you. Some of the hardest things that I have lived through, never would have wished on anybody, are the very things that have drawn me closer to God and shaped my character in the most positive ways. I don't regret those times because of the way God has shaped GOOD out of them. I am confident He will do the same for you. Stay encouraged.
