X-Ray Results - 8/3/17
Hey everyone, we've got some news.
Peter has had pain in his neck, which we mentioned to our primary doctor yesterday. They ordered an X-ray, and we just found out his diagnosis is a "displaced C7 spinous process fracture." According to our searching, "it's a stable fracture, commonly called clay-shovelers fracture." One of the protruding parts of the bone in his spine is broken. But it doesn't affect his nerves, and starting tomorrow Peter will need to wear a neck collar as much as possible. We believe it happened about a week and a half ago (while on an easy walk of all things!). The doctors say it should only take a few weeks to mend. They actually don't expect or need the bone to fuse back together, the major concern is ligament repair.
It is very frustrating to have a broken bone to deal with on top of all of this. It is evident that the enemy is throwing attack after attack at us, and while we are dealing with discouragement, one thing seems clear to us. The devil is severely limited, and does not have the power to wipe us out! God is in control, fighting for us, and He has the final say in our situation.
Please pray for no pain and rapid healing. After his pain is significantly decreased, he will have a follow up x-ray. I would love for extraordinarily good results when that comes back!
Please pray for me, too. Discouragement is my big battle right now. It's hard to care for a teething kid (who had a few shots earlier this week 😒) and a husband who's fighting these big battles.
Thank you for praying for sleep. The past few nights have been good for all three of us! Please keep lifting up our parents, grandparents and our brothers and sisters, too. They are carrying many aspects for us and I've seen a few attacks against them as well, and I'm just not okay with that.
We love you all and we remain confident in our powerful, joyful, loving Father God! Just yesterday we received a very unexpected provision that blew us away. We are being faithfully carried through this season by Christ's own body, the church (across the world!) and it is amazing!!

Just reading this. Praying for healing for Peter's neck and for all the other requests as well. Was singing DeMarco's It is Well tonight at KHOP for a while. Your soul is well. Peter's soul is well. Esther the Joyful's soul is well. And we win. Because He WON!!!! Love to you all.
Praying, praying, praying for all of you. Sorry to hear this happened and so glad they found it. Glad you said something to the PCP so it could be checked. Have been reading in II Thess. this week. so praying for II Thess. 1:11, 12 for you in addition to praying for healing, strength, peace, and rest.
