Update Monday 8/21/17 - Cycle 3, Day 8
Thank you to everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! We appreciate every time you reach out to let us know you're praying or thinking of us--you are the best support system we could imagine!
In case you didn't see Peter post on Facebook, the bone scan came back with no bad news! Only the fracture in his neck (that we knew about) showed up. Thank you Jesus!
The last cycle of chemo went remarkably well, and I didn't post often. The current cycle of chemo began one week ago today, and Peter's body has taken it a bit harder. He had the weekend off and we go in for another infusion tomorrow.
Please continue to pray for the cancer to be GONE, for minimal to no negative side effects from the treatment, continued weight stability and ability to eat (praising God for this answer to prayer!), and safe white blood counts. Pray for me--I've had two weeks now where I just feel completely exhausted. It's certainly not making this easier to not have much energy. Pray for my health and Esther's health, too. We need to stay healthy so Peter isn't exposed to any infections.
The last time we had a test for Peter's tumor markers, the main one we are watching came down again, this time to 28!! It needs to be less than 5. At his peak it was 64,000! So thankful!
Please pray that there is NO residual cancer/tumors that need to be taken out with surgery after all of this (that would be decided probably at the end of September). I have been told by some people and my own searching that surgery is common, but I am hoping for this to be another answer to prayer and that there is no question in the doctor's mind that he doesn't need surgery!
Again, we can tell that the Lord is hearing many prayers on our behalf. THANK YOU! More specifics to pray for: continued ability to eat, taste to return, strength to return, nausea to stop, no damage to lungs (we've already seen considerable improvement there and we believe it was God!), strength and protection for his heart, kidney and other organs. Peace, rest and energy for me, health for Esther and I too. Thank you everyone!

Father God you are so faithful! Thank you for all you have done for Peter and Tori through this journey. Thank you that their faith is being strengthened day by day. We stand on your promise that when they are weak, you are strong. That your strength is their strength, not only physical, but mental and spiritual as well. May they walk in the supernatural power of your spirit so that you would be glorified in all! In the name of Jesus!
We cancel the plans of the enemy in the name and blood of Jesus Christ! We command all cancer to go now in the mighty name of Jesus. Jesus paid the price for all disease so we command health and life into Peter's body in Jesus' name. We release shalom (in Hebrew means breaking the chaos) in Peter's body, soul, and spirit and the same for Tori and Esther! (Sorry I haven't been able to post for the last month - no Internet service for over 3 weeks - just the enemy trying to keep me down. Still praying even though I didn't post).
Lifting up each request. Lord, You are amazing, we are so thankful for what you have done so far and so excited to see what You will do.
Continuing to pray in agreement with you for God to answer all your concerns and requests.
