10/13/17 Update

Hey everyone! Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Every time one of you reaches out to let us know you've been praying for us, it is such a huge encouragement! We couldn't imagine a better community to stand by our side. Thank you!

Peter is regaining strength and has been able to start teaching for a few hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It's been a HUGE encouragement to us both to see him back doing what he loves! His strength is coming back, slowly, and while there have been times when it's been frustrating that he isn't at 100% yet, we know it is coming. Lots of lessons in patience through this journey. ;-) I've done some research and different aspects take longer to fully heal...continuing to pray for rapid healing--that is not always the case, but we have hope it will be for Peter!

We are still waiting to hear from Indiana University. The amazing people at the West Michigan Cancer Center have been handling details for us. We got an update today that some of Peter's files have been viewed by a doctor at IU, and they are waiting on a few more that are in the mail. Praying they get that ASAP so we can get moving!

Like we said in our video, so much has improved! His tumor markers in his blood work have normalized (under 5 is the goal for HCG, it was 3!!). His abdominal lymph nodes have also drastically decreased. The goal was less than 1 cm. At their largest, they were 5.7 cm. Now the largest is 3.5 cm. That means Peter needs RPLND surgery, which will be done with the national experts in Indiana. (Many of the nodules in his lungs have disappeared; there are a few that are 3 to 4 mm. Unless they say something different at IU, it's looking like we are just going to keep an eye on those. I'm praying they all disappear!!)

We are praying that Peter will have an unusually great response and recovery for RPLND surgery, please join with us! It is my (Tori's) hope that we can go, get it done without any complications, and have a fairly normal Thanksgiving and Christmas. For some recovery can take many weeks to months, and we hope that Peter will be on the shorter end of this, so that doesn't effect the holidays.

Again, thank you everyone for praying and walking this out with us! You are all amazing!

Joining you in prayer for quickly being able to get to IU and get that surgery under your belt. Prayer for you continues to be to find strength on Christ the solid Rock on which you stand, Psa. 61:2, and Eph. 1:18-21 - "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come."

We praise and honor you for those good reports mighty God! We command those tumors disappear completely and that the surgery will be unnecessary in the mighty name and blood of Jesus Christ. You paid for 100% healing so we command that into Peter's body, soul, and spirit. We release shalom (in Hebrew it means breaking the chaos) over Peter's body, soul, and spirit. I have a friend whose daughter was diagnosed with cancer, he had a vision that Jesus was giving her a blood transfusion from heaven. Prior to beginning cancer, the daughter immediately began feeling better. She asked for a new blood test prior to the first treatment. They took 3 blood tests and finally said the cancer cells are gone and it's really strange - it's as if you have completely new blood. YES! We command and release that same miracle in Peter's life in Jesus' name.
