10/28/17: Still at IU Simon cancer center recovery
Things are progressing, slowly but surely. Peter is still dealing with a lot of pain. But he has no IV now!
There was talk of acute rehab, but if he keeps progressing at this rate that may not be needed.
Peter saw PT and then OT today, and he took a few bites of real food! He worked a little on getting dressed himself, which was quite difficult. He also walked up 4 steps!! Someone wise told me when I was recovering with my c-section that it’s two steps forward, one step back. Yesterday, even though we got the best news ever, it felt in some ways like a step back with recovery goals. Today is feeling like steps forward! We still have a long way to go but in so many ways we are turning corners each day.
Please pray for my health. I have some symptoms that are super irritating and could become more serious if they persist. I am having faith I will be fine, and am going to try to slow down even more just to be safe. No need for worry but always welcome for more prayers! 😊
Esther and I spent a ton of time together and with my parents yesterday, and all three of them are on the way back to Michigan now. She is getting healthier each day.
We all need wisdom, strength and health. Pray for clear and loving communication to keep flowing. And let’s keep praising Jesus for the testimony of all dead tumors!!!!

Yeah OT! 🙌🏼😉 Now you have a little more of an idea what I did all summer. Focus on those steps forward! They will add up to big positive changes. 💗
Amen and Amen!!!
