8/27 Update

Shannon continues to gain strength with lots of physical therapy.  She is supposed to be taking it easy with one arm because they are worried that she may have a blood clot.  Lots of testing, but no results yet.

For those that have asked about helping us financially, I have set up the Donations portion of PostHope.  While we have spent more of our life on the giving side than the receiving, I'm starting to recognize the financial aspects of Shannon's accident.  From a local quadriplegic family I met with, "the most import thing right now is fundraising.  You have no idea how expensive this is going to be."   This includes chairs, vehicle, bed, home modifications, medical costs, ongoing therapy, and supplies.  I've tried not to think too far ahead, but it's probably time that I do.
