8/5 Update

Shannon is still fighting well.  Today she got in the chair again for an hour and a half.  This time she was able to take a break from the ventilator and got some fresh air.  The first time the sun has kissed her in 18 days.  A picture was added to the photos section.  The blood work looked good today as well.  White cell count is back to normal. 

Her belly is the big holdup today.  They had upped her food  to 24 calories an hour but had to put it on hold today while they figure out what is wrong with the GI system.  More X-Rays (I think she is going to glow by the end of the year).  We should know more tomorrow.  More time was also spent today off the respirator.  Getting stronger every day.
