Surgery came by and said it looks good after removing the chest tube from their standpoint so that just needs to heal. No air leaking from the lung which is great 👍🏼

Now we just stay for more testing, waiting on Pathology from the surgery, and he's still spiking fevers so don't know how long we'll be here. He isn't well enough to leave.

The good news Monday was that the surgeon didn't believe we were looking at anything for malignancy. However, because they still can't diagnose everything they don't know exactly how to treat him so we are just waiting for results.

His body was/is too inflamed to remove all the bad stuff in there and they said it was very risky even going in Monday but they did. But until the bad stuff is removed the fevers won't go away and they are still trying to figure out what kind of infection to treat and he has the necrotizing pneumonia which anything necrotizing is really bad.

So we wait for pathology from the surgery (don't know how long that will be) and results of bloodwork today which may also provide some information.
