Doesn't seem like we're going home too soon yet. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Surgery removed his chest tube, but the infectious disease people don't feel comfortable having him leave yet with the high fevers and not knowing if his current antibiotic is even helping anything or what kind of infection they may even be treating. They want to do more bloodwork tomorrow to check inflammation and see if any preliminary pathology results come back so far. Some tests may take weeks as well.
Still no answers yet on things so just more waiting game and trying to control fevers, address the anemia/low hemoglobin and inflammation in the body. Fevers won't go away until all that stuff is removed; can't remove the stuff because he's so inflamed.
He's still the mystery man..
