Busy day for Walker so far. He headed to OR this am for a new tunnel catheter to replace the groin catheter started initially for dialysis. All good. Then back to room where they put back one of his chest tubes into left side to help drain off fluids. Last, he just has a bronchiole lavash and scope by Dr Kim to get a closer look at his lungs. No big deal, it’s all in a McKnight Life.

They are continuing to reduce his meds and they are getting him a bed that stands straight up to help with rehab to get him moving as this is our goal to get him moving within 10 days. Candy and I have pretty much set up camp in his room for overnights and his awesome aunties, Gail and Nickie, have been taking night watch as well. It’s all in the family! Our awesome family!

And a big shout out to all that have been making meals for us and taking Laura places - friends, family, Geneva School families, FPCO families and Neighbors!! Thank you so much. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and with us it takes a village and a specialist medical team :-)
