Praise report!
He walked down the hallway around the corner to room 7 and back and did it on sweep of .5 (very little oxygen support from ECMO). Of course they have not told him this but right now all his support has been off for about 5 hrs which is very very awesome!! He had to have a new pic line placed today and the other pulled which is painful. Overall it was another good day 👏👏👍👍👏💪
One test to getting off the ECMO machine is to go 24hrs with it running but not adding oxygen so essentially the support factor is off. So, pray he continues on this tract to get off ECMO. That will be a huge victory for all of us especially Walker.
He has had the same nurse 6 days in a row during the day shift, Tiffany. She is a mom of boys Walkers age, she is very great, sweet but firm with him. It makes a huge difference to have that consistency in this setting of ever changing players and the continuous beeping needs of the machines. As Walker told her yesterday, thank you Tiffany for all you do for our boy. God bless you.
The journey home is starting to lead onto firmer ground. Thank you all for your prayers for Walker, he would not be here without them that I can tell you with visceral knowledge. Thank you Jesus for getting Walker through today, and thank you for what you will do tomorrow. Amen!

I am so glad to read this today! Such wonderful news. I will continue to pray for Walker’s strength and fortitude. I already love Tiffany and haven’t ever met her. She sounds like the answer to prayer. It’s wonderful to have her there because she will know how much to push him as he gains strength each day.
