Hope and circumstances

After a horrendously challenging week of recovery issues that put us on the roller coaster downslope ( like the infamous  SheiKra drop), Walker is on the slow climb (like going up the long hill on SheiKra - the coaster that he rode I believe it was 16 times one day) to doing better. His body and mind have a very slow recovery setting which does not like being rushed much to his parents dismay.

After surgery and needing the full support of a vent, It seems we have to kind of start from the beginning again in getting his lungs and thus his mind used to operating again on their own. No luck walking this am, so we are dropping back to punt so to speak.
The good news being that Mom and I have seen this before and know what it will take for him to regain his confidence to walk and breathe at the same time. It will take patience and time, things we seem by the Grace of God only to have in abundance these days.

After 90+ days in an ICU setting, we have become quite accustomed to our role in supporting Walker through this absurd illness with its mind numbing and heart wrenching ups and downs. Navigating the scene in talks daily with Doctors, Nurses, & Therapist, doing our best to push Walkers care in the best direction for his needs. Praying regularly with really anyone and everyone we meet here and there almost anywhere in hopes the Lord hears our prayers and your prayers.

Please continue to pray for supernatural healing of Walkers body and say an extra prayer that the blanket of peace covers Walkers mind to give him the strength to overcome this intense fear that comes from a fragile set of lungs. None of us can imagine the personal terror that comes from having too little air to breathe. Bless his sweet heart ❤️ we do love him so much.

Still thinking of Walker and your family and that God will work a miracle in his life. I know that everything is being done that can be done, the only thing left is communication in prayer to God that he will bring Walker soon into good health again.

We are all still right here praying and supporting you and Walker. Just imagine all of us who love you standing on the sidelines of the hospital halls as Walker walks slowly and steadily getting stronger day by day with all of us right here on the sidelines cheering for him.
