Happy 4th, is this a great country or what?
So, our last prayer request was to kill the bacterial infection that Walker had Sunday night and I am very happy to report he is good and it is gone. And one of the Doctors told Candy that if she or I had an infection like his, gram negative rods in the blood candy called it, a blood infection, all part of my ICU education, that we probably would not have survived it. And it barely effected Walker, they are somewhat astounded by him.
Thats how us Christians like our Doctor friends, scratching their heads in amazement at changes that just don’t make a lot of sense to them. Isn’t the power of prayer so awesome. It’s as if all our prayers for Walker are permanently etched into Walkers life.
He is doing very well, steadily breathing his way into this new traech size 4, walking daily little by little extending his reach, eating a little better not a lot, managing well. It is getting exciting knowing he will be coming home pretty soon.
We are asking for another medical miracle this time with his stomach. We ask for prayers that his gut will start to work digesting his food. And that his lungs will accept working on 6 liters of oxygen down from his current 10. Needs to be at 6 to go to rehab. Amen and God Bless America

Great news!!!! Praising God and continuing to pray
Walker's life has been a miracle - without which he would not be with us now! We ask for prayers - prayers sent and heard! Without prayer - and the belief they will be answered I wonder how people can live - our family truly, truly appreciate each of you and the many wonderful things you have done for us all - especially Walker - a long way yet to go but the JOURNEY continues! Thank you Lord---

I was reading through Psalm 147 this morning,praying over Walker and a couple of verses stood out to me after reading last nights post from you... 1”How good to sing praises to our God! How delightful and how fitting!” 3-“ he heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds” 11-“ the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. “ You guys are experiencing all of this first hand and I know God is delighted and He is healing Walker each day! Keep fighting Walker and making those doctors scratch their heads at the miracles you and God are doing! The Quigley family loves you deeply.
Prayer for and loving Walker...constantly.
