Prayer request

Please pray that Walkers doctors will determine a way that he can move forward with kidney transplants without needing a lung transplant. After viewing a 2 hour pre-transplant class yesterday, both Walker and Candy were very upset by what they heard would be the reality of a lung transplant. It is not a road that anyone would want to go. Our hope is that the doctors may decide that through concentrated rehab his right lung would improve enough over time to be sufficient for him to lead a good life. They may decide to take out the left lung or part of it and that would be fine but having lung transplants is a last resort and far from a vacation.

The hard part was learning that much of the procedures he would have during the transplant process are procedures he has already endured through the process of saving his life. The list of these procedures is long and the process so painful it’s beyond what most of us can comprehend. So, please pray that the doctors determine he does not need a lung transplant and they are willing to give him kidneys. 

Lord, you are the great physician and we look to you for miracles of science. Please hear our prayer that you will spare Walker from lung transplants. Amen and amen!
