We believe in miracles

Seasons greetings

While there is little “new” news to report from the last month, we wanted to wish all that are following Walkers journey a Merry Christmas. This time of year brings a hope and a joy to our hearts that transcends all the medical troubles we encounter about every other day. We stand united as a family in the knowledge that miracles , like the miracle of the birth of the creator of all things as a child born in the flesh humbly to everyday people in a forgotten pace without fanfare, happen!! We have witnessed them up close and personal in the life of Walker, in the life that is this extraordinary journey our family is traveling.

Walkers Mom and Dad have learned through trials in repetition that God is with us and provides for us beyond our understanding. We have learned to accept our weaknesses, our powerlessness, knowing that we have only the ability to hold on to the fabric that God weaves for us. These trials creating in us a fabric of faith much stronger in its stitch than we could have ever produced on our own, a fabric laced with many colors beautifully designed with the hope that ultimately resides in the miracle of the Christ child. In his birth, God placed the opportunity for miracles in the lives of any of us if we believe with a faith only the size of tiny mustard seed.

We got this! Even though it’s taken years of Godly repetition receiving Grace every morning to start a new day, it seems that maybe we have finally started to believe in the miracle of our own mustard seed that maybe we do have the faith we need to stand strong when the flames of trial seem to be insurmountable. As parents of a child facing incredible odds, each day brings new challenges and each day we pray for strength and for favor and for blessings, for miracles that come in many forms, miracles born out of prayers, our prayers and your prayers.

So on this Christmas Eve as you hold the hands of your family, may you be blessed in the knowledge of the miracle most high, bless you and your family through this wonderful holiday season. Love, the McKnights.
