Day 25 & 26

Wednesday she was able to sit up on the edge of her bed before going to the SPA. She slept when she came back and then the physical therapist came in. Brenda had to sit up in the stretch table for 45 minutes. At the end of it she pointed to the bed to signify that she was tired. 

Last night she rested well. This morning she had her surgery at 7:45 a.m. That put in a new trache that will allow her to talk. Dr. Perry is treating her in two phases. Covering the burns was Phase I and that was completed today. Phase II is basically filling in places where the skin graft did not take. On December 20 Brenda is scheduled for her next surgery. Dr. Perry will be making sure the grafts on her face and ears took properly. That should complete Phase II. Next stop, PHYSICAL THERAPY! She is still critical, but this is because she is very susceptible ot infections.
