Day 3 of the cancer maze

Michelle says:

"It's been the hardest and longest 3 days of my life. I couldn't have done it without all of the emails and messages of love and support. I'm reading every email, I just don't have the energy to write back. Oh, and please hold off on the fart jokes, it hurts too much to laugh!

"Today I'm grateful for Mary, my great cancer warrior buddy in the next bed. She has a great northern Irish accent.

"Because we love *you*, we're posting this picture, my first solid bite of food, instead of my giant incision that goes from my pubic bone to my sternum!  Maybe if I'm bored and can't sleep tonight I'll count the staples."

Steve, Jayden, Kora, Amiga and I are all sending our love your way. I'm looking forward to going for a big walk with you when you get back. I keep thinking back to that kayak trip that we did in Baja where the guides served us coffee in our sleeping bags :-) We should definitely do that again!

Yeah! You look great, rosy cheeks and a banana to boot. Soft eating is great. You have a beautiful cheering squad. Sounds like Mary is part of the family. Your smile is warming. Thank you for letting us know how you are doing. I am sending hugs and sloppy hugs for Bruce too. Love Nan and Evelyn too.
