Lots to be Thankful For This Thanksgiving and Infusion 11
This Thanksgiving - This year has been quite life-changing to say the least. As I reflect for Thanksgiving, despite the many surprises and challenges this year, there is much for me to be thankful for: great medicine, health-care providers, and nurses; a wonderful job and company that enables me to undergo this treatment; and above all, the best support system through countless family and friends who have given me the strength to stay smiling and positive throughout this ordeal. As I do in every post, I want to thank you all for everything you do for us. This Thanksgiving means more to me now than it has before as I go over in my mind the many blessings in these times.
I am especially grateful for my wife, caregiver, chef, and driver, Sam, who is not only all these things, but also takes care of Caleb while working and studying for her clinical psych licensure exams. Her attitude throughout all this is an inspiration and this Thanksgiving, I am most grateful for her.
Infusion 11 - To end all the self-reflective cheesy stuff, just a quick update on infusion 11. The nausea was long-lasting again, and required me to take tons of meds which made me more drowsy and have blurred vision. My fingertips and toes are now perpetually tingly, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with only one or two more infusions, and I am excited to end these chemo rounds. My incision wound continues to heal, but I am looking forward to getting back in the gym.
I hope you and your family all have a wonderful, memorable Thanksgiving. Eat lots and be merry. Rest assured, we will! Happy Thanksgiving!
