March 23, 2018

I am out of the hospital and back home as of yesterday.  My fever broke and my numbers started coming up so I was able to come home.  My numbers are high enough today that I can have raw fruits and vegetables again so I am looking forward to a big salad tonight.

I need to get my fill of fruits and vegetables now because round two of chemo starts next week.  I am not looking forward to any of it, but it needs to get done.  The upside is having gone thru round one, I understand how round two should go.  I should be able to predict when my numbers will go to zero, when food will start tasting not so good and when I should see my numbers start going up.  Armed with info maybe I can do this round without the fever and hospital stay.  The other upside is it gets me another step closer to being with the whole process.

I hope you are all doing well....I think it is time for a nap.  Take care.

Hey Kevin, so glad you're home again and wishing you much pleasure savoring fruits and veggies between now and the next round. We loved the updates on Kelsey and Grant -- kudos to them both and to their fabulous parents -- your parenting helped cultivate the "what it takes" to achieve their goals. You and Karen continue to show them and to show all of us who we want to be in times of serious challenge. It's not the stressors in our lives -- it's our relationship to them. Your attitude is wonderful. Thank you for all your cheery and informative posts. We love your updates and send much love and good wishes to you, Karen, Kelsey and Grant.

YEA! Home is a great place to recover. If you get bored with the usual fruits, try dragon fruit, so tasty! Thank you for giving us updates, you don't know how often you are thought of. Lots of love to you....
