Stitches out!
Everyday has a new step though some will seem less significant than others. For now, there's still plenty new and overwhelming. This morning I had my stitches removed which while exciting was a less than pleasant experience. I believe the final count was 31 stitches, but the 12 closest to my wound were the most painful to remove. I can only wonder what the nurses thought (only one of whom knows English fluently) as I chanted, "My God is so great, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do. The mountains are his, the rivers are his, the stars in the sky are his too. My God is so great..." over and over until the most painful part was finished.
They tell me my incision is healing nicely, and I keep praying my great God will blow everyone away with continued rapid healing.

I am so glad that it is healing nicely. I loved singing that song as a kid and it is so good to know that the words that are so ingrained are so true and powerful. I love picturing you chanting them! Planting seeds through the big and the little. Praise God. Love you Laura
Stitches are no fun...been there done that...but not that many. But now that is done...continuing to pray for strength, patience and an overflowing of God's love and peace.
love you my child.... sounds like you did better than me, on my neck ones I almost fainted :) ...that's my girl :)
So proud of you Laura!! Praying often for that rapid healing...but it will also be your hope and strength from your great God that blows everyone away! :)
A mighty testimony!
You're amazing ... and inspire me to face God.
In my sleeplessness last night I was prompted to pray for you...and I did. Prayed especially for pain management and that you would know His love and encouragement in the deepest of places - physically, emotionally and spiritually!
Laura you are already showing how great God is. Your testimony to the greatness of God is singing out loudly. We love you and your parents. We pray that you are feeling the mighty arms of our Lord surrounding you every hour of every day as He heals you
