Round 3 Day 2
I just finished typing a really long, detailed entry about the last 2 days, and then when I tried to post it, it was gone. I guess it's a sign that I was doing too much complaining, so here's a very abbreviated version:
Nothing has went smoothly in the past 2 days. No one seems to know what they're doing and we are annoyed. Everything went fine the last time we were here, save for the fact that the doctors overlooked Mike and no one came in to see him until the 3rd day we were here.
He finally got hooked up to the Rituxum at 6 last night, and then to the Chemo at 10:40. They don't have 24 hour bags so he is getting 12 hour bags which means he has to get woke up every night to get his chemo bag changed. On the bright side, they removed his vitals checks at 12am and 4am, so he will get to sleep for awhile during the night.
Mike is about ready to pack up and head to Minnesota. Too bad he's attached to an IV Pole. Hoping things start looking up.
XOXO

Nothing worse than a hospital stay where you feel like you know more than those working there. Been there, done that. Prayers that they are quickly enlightened and you and Mike feel well cared for!
It's rough when things aren't going smoothly! Hopefully things will start going better!
Mike and Robin- I just went back through my posts and read that round 3 hit me pretty hard. This stuff is taking its toll, but remember... it is beating those cancer cells down too! Just survive it. You don't have to be "doing great" or be super mom and dad every day. You're going through something tough, and it's clear to everyone reading this blog that you are super parents and people even if you take some pressure off. Advocate for yourselves with your medical team. You know more about you than even the best doctors, but be confident that with your help, they can do what they need to to get Mike healthy. Prayers are coming your way from Vermont!! I don't know if you're basketball fans, but I watched every March Madness game I could find on the television while going through this treatment ;)
