ALS Sucks

If you know anything about ALS, you know it absolutely sucks, and as of yet, doesn't get any better. I try not to think about it getting worse, but it is our reality. We hope each day for a cure and know so many also hope the same for us and so many other with this disease. I have been quiet and right now, things are hard. I appreciate all of your support and thoughts. [...]

WE ARE HOME!

I want to give a HUGE thank you to our Contractor, Greg Antioniolli and his crew from Out of the Woods Construction on their amazing craftsmanship and hard work, with a special shout out to Deb Bishop, his designer who helped us tremendously! Below is a list of all the INCREDIBLE businesses that supported us. They all did amazing work to make our home spectacular, safe and accessible. [...]

2020 was a year of more support, love and community than I have ever seen…

So many felt divided and isolated from their people this last year, as we did, but I have also felt connected to my people in new ways. Connected to Rich and the kids, connected to my parents, sister, aunts and uncles, connected to my cousins, friends and connected more than ever, to my community. As you have seen from other posts, all of these groups and individuals have showed up for us on our journey. I am deeply and dearly thankful to 2020; it was the year I finally reached out for more help. I feel less alone in our ALS journey, from to the courage I have gained to share our story. [...]

A big, huge thank you from the Razumny Family

On Sunday 12/13 my family participated in the Holiday House Tour: Front Steps Edition, hosted by Suzanne & Company. Families from around the Bedford community transformed their front steps and yards into beautiful and creative holiday displays with festive lights and decorations. This event was organized not just to spread cheer among neighbors, but also to support my family as we face an incredibly challenging time. [...]

Strong as a mother....

Holidays are a busy time. I thrive off of the busy, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. Things pile up like dishes and laundry (thank goodness for our bubble of helpers). The list below is an example of what a two week schedule looks like for me. This doesn’t include basic everyday tasks like preparing meals for the kiddos, myself, and Rich, or other caregiving needs I complete every day for all of us; getting everyone dressed, changing diapers, and preparing medications.[...]

Rich is 30 Tomorrow!

Rich already joked today that he “feels” 30.  In reality, the aches and pains, muscle spasms and more daily challenges than I can count are not what we expected for 30! Despite these facts, Rich continues to be the best husband and best father each and every minute. [...]

Another twist and turn…

This is another post that is unrelated to Rich’s health! Instead this post is about another member of my family, my sister Lauren.

On top of her full time job, Lauren owns and operates a small business called Sewbaloo, selling beautiful funky and unique quilts, bags, table runners, children's clothes and knitwear. She is talented in many, many ways and has made all of us a variety of hand knit clothes and quilted items. She typically sells her colorful products at various local markets such as the Market of the Beast, and Creative Collective Virtual Markets. She has also been able to take part in an in person pop-up at Hive and Forge in Salem. Lauren has taken this pandemic in stride and transferred her shop over to an online business (with a little help from me!) Her products are now all easily accessible on her website, https://sewbaloo.myshopify.com/. [...]
