11/21: Four Weeks After Surgery
Four weeks ago Peter was in RPLND surgery, and 12 days ago he was discharged from our Kalamazoo hospital stay.
I am thrilled to say that today Peter was acting so normal! He is “end-of-Apex-day-exhausted” but he was able to go to WorshipArts practice tonight, and watched Esther for a few hours! Day to day we sometimes feel that we don’t see a lot of improvement, or that we may be taking steps backwards in recovery, but week to week Peter is absolutely regaining strength and health. It’s just slow going. We are looking into Physical Therapy to help him regain strength the right way and help with some of the pain he is still experiencing.
You can continue to pray for us as we start to plan for next years WorshipArts season, for health for Esther and I as well as Peter, and energy for all of us. While the big things are done, the little steps to recovery continue and I expect it will be weeks to months before things fully feel normal around here. Prayers for the encouragement of the Holy Spirit to be very present through this season welcome!
This time of year is all about Thanksgiving, and let me tell you, there is so much thanks going up to our faithful Heavenly Father here at the Webb house! Each of you has truly changed our lives and helped carry us through this difficult journey. We are so thankful for the Lord’s guidance and healing, and the wisdom and knowledge of each doctor and medical professional we met along the way. We praise God for the amazing nurses and PCAs who cared for us at each hospital stay. The compassion of nurses is amazing! Each day with Peter here is a gift and I am constantly reminded of that as we walk this out. Thank you, thank you for praying for and supporting my family, and my husband. I love you all!!
