Coming Home!

We have been given a surprise: Laura is coming home today!

Her good blood counts have jumped into the thousands, her bone marrow DNA test shows 0% leukemia, and her fungal lung growth has shrunk to the size of a postage stamp. It's a fraction of the size it was before.

"It's remarkable, really," the doctor said (speaking of the growth), "we've never seen anything like it."

There's been some negative effect on the kidneys and the anti-fungal medication is needing to be switched up, so please cover these things with us in prayer.

But oh, you guys. WHAT a roller coaster, huh? God is so good, and his healing so evident in her body!

For now, the lung surgery is pushed back but still scheduled, and the transplant likewise pushed back yet definitely scheduled. Pneumonia persists, but her body is otherwise rapidly regaining health.

Please know deeply that your prayers have made a difference. Thank you with all our hearts. Thank you, Jesus.

We're really rejoicing. I'm so glad we get to share part of this Christmas season with my mom in person!

Please continue in prayer for complete restoration of health, and wait expectantly with us for all the good things God is continuing to do.  We are so thankful for his mercy and kindness!
