Goodbye Dear Friend.

Our dear beloved friend Rocco Dal Vera passed away Friday afternoon. His wife Denise and daughter Kendall were at his side as well as a number of friends, sharing stories and tears and laughter. He left this life so peacefully, surrounded by love. A fitting exit for a man who brought so much love to everything he did and everyone he met.

My heartfelt condolences to Denise and Kendall and all who loved and continue to love Rocco. I feel his presence very strongly on the other side and know that he will continue his work of spreading the Light from those realms, and feel he will watch over his beloved family from there. All blessings, Malcolm Groome

Words are simply insufficient to allow me to respond adequately to this news ... I am so very thankful that I had the opportunity to work (and play) directly with Rocco - a truly amazing human being (and that is, of course, the understatement of the decade) - at CCM. In my over two decades of experience in higher education, there is NO ONE who rates higher on my scale of collaborative leadership or sincerity. To say he will be missed does not even begin to encapsulate the reality ... there is now a gaping void, not only at CCM but in our global community. Farewell, my dear friend ... knowing you has been a highlight of my professional life. We all know how present you will continue to be at CCM ...

And He will raise him up on eagles wings, Bear him on the breath of dawn, Make him to shine like the sun, And hold him in the palm of His hand. My heart is full of dear Rocco....and of you who mourn his passing.

I'm stunned!! I thought for sure I would see him again. Heartbroken. Saddened. Sick. Denise- I barely know you. But, my heart and prayers go out to you and all your family. Rocco was one of the finest men I have ever met!!! He will be missed.

Goodbye, Rocco. That is so hard to say. I know I will be talking to you for a very long time. I felt the presence of Roger, our father for a long time after his death. You have helped me so many times when I've not known what to do to help Mother, and your help has been the kind of help that strengthens my confidence and resourcefulness. So know that while I miss you, as do so many others, we will go on and find our ways, and be peaceful and strong because we had you in our lives. Fly on, dear brother, to your next adventure!
