Woke up to a balmy 15 BELOW zero this morning. Siberia was 32 above. Go figure. However, it’s SUNNY! No matter how cold it gets, the sunshine makes all the difference.

Good news. My cold sensitivity is subsiding. Yay! I can drink cold things again. The high neck shirts, scarves and jazz hands have been abandoned until the next treatment. Yes!

Yesterday, I got to lose the fanny pack and the go-go-gadget tubing that went with it. Another happy moment.  Especially because it means I can shower again. (Silent cheer from the family!)

However, yesterday was also spent mostly in bed. I blamed the steroids but I’m the same today. No steroids. No nausea medicine. Still exhausted. Which, I know my body is fighting hard to recover. It’s just annoying and a bit discouraging. This is only the first treatment. The effects are supposed to increase each time. No fun.

Scott was kind enough to take me out to do errands. It’s nice to get out. Have I mentioned how amazing he is!

Thank you all for your wonderful notes of encouragement, the stories of your journeys with cancer, the cards, the flowers, the gifts, the funny comments. It’s very humbling and very uplifting. And mostly, thank you for your prayers. Our house is very peaceful and happy, which makes things so much easier.
