A very! Good day
3 full laps around the floor for a total of 628ft and he was the 1st patient ever to do a standing tuck backflip while on ECMO :-). Ok so it wasn't a standing tuck or a flip but he thought about it!
We are so very excited for his progress over the last 2 days. He has been talking lots and in good spirits for the most part. Today during his PT, he tossed a ball back n forth while standing on his own and he did 15 squats, what!! And had good speech and memory therapy ta boot. Oh yea, and he got to his phone and texted us and sent an Instagram to some friends.
It seems the goal is to wean him off ECMO possibly by the end of the weekend. And what a great day that will be! While it saves lives it sure is nerve racking for patient and parents alike to be on the machine. Guess it's scary for anyone when all your blood circulates outside your body and back again constantly.
To say that our minds are boggled from watching God at work on a daily basis saving our sons life is too small, there are no words that rightfully express witnessing a miracle first hand. Wow!! Amazing, incredible, fantastic, extraordinary, stupendous all fall humanly short of the almighty.
As Dr. Edington used to say in his opening prayer, “Nothing in my hands I bring, only to thy cross I cling.” Amen.

Oh Dave - so well said - through this horrible - mind boggling journey - the miracles we have witnessed - over and over - God is so good and holds us in HIS hands - and what lies ahead for each of us - especially Walker - we cannot even imagine!!! Lives changed - oh on every front!!! God bless the instrument of change - our Walker man!!!!
And we have and continue to 'cling" to the cross ---and will as along as we live!!! This I know!!!
I keep reading spiritual books to find ways to hope and partner with God for the Miracles of Life! I have thrown the books away. I need only to read Daves’s daily prayer and I am armed! Walker is on his way! All of us will form the parade following behind our Walker Man!!! Hugs, love and prayers to all’❤️

This is fantastic news!!!! This truly is a miracle. God indeed has a plan on earth for you. You all have touched so many people and reminded everyone of where your priorities should be first a relationship with Christ and secondly how important prayer is, and finally how much and how many people love and care about you. So proud of you!!!!

What a powerful witness all of you have now. Many people today do not believe that God still performs miracles today and yet here Walker is; A walking talking miracle.
