From his Auntie Gail:
When Walker got off the ECMO machine we all thought it would be a relief and a quicker journey home.
The mental and physical challenges he has had to deal with have been overwhelming once again. His body is having trouble finding a balance in function without the machine.
We have all had to dig deeper than we ever imagined for strength and faith to endure.
Yesterday, in answer to the prayers of many, but more importantly in response to an earnest prayer by his
loving sister pleading for God to draw near him and help him fight.. GOD revealed his presence to Walker within an hour after that precious prayer. Walker FELT Gods presence.
With the help of our Lord and Gods Grace, he recommitted to fight the fight to finish his journey home.
Today is a new day.
From his Sister Laura, 15, to her friends:
i want to share something really emotional with you guys
things hav been really just awful lately and today my parents just had to leave walker because of stuff that was going on at the hospital and they came home and we’re a mess and then i found out and we were just all a mess and honestly there is no worse feeling in the entire world because this is such a heart wrenching exhausting and terrifying situation and honestly i didn’t know what to do. so me and my aunt just prayed together for God to just show his presence in walker because right now it is time for him to take charge in this battle because we cannot do it for him. after the prayer me my aunt and my dad talked for just about 15 minutes then i went into my moms room where she was crying to tell her i was getting in the shower and she said “walker replied” and i didnt know what she was talking about, but then she showed me this (see new pic above).
this was God. God heard me and answered my prayer and has given me hope in a awful situation. idk why this is happening but i truly believe that this is the main reason for everything that has happend so far. i wanted to share with you all about what has happened so that it could give all of you some hope of how much God loves every single one of us and how mich he works through the terrible situations. i love you all never take for granted the blessings in your life and always believe in him❤️

Wow. I needed that story too. God is kind and good.
Praising God and rejoicing with you as we pray for Walker’s strength and perseverance- especially now as he gets busy with His FEARLESS work!🙌🏼🙏🏻👏🏻🎉 “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that The Lord has promised to those who love Him!” James 1:12 Yes, McKnights- this is each one of you! 😍

❤️❤️ Amazing Grace ❤️❤️❤️ Sometimes I think God “stretches” our faith. The deeper the valley the MORE God is going to do with it! Just think about how many lives have been touch by this??? God wants to draw us into a deeper relationship with Him.
What a wonderful prayer Laura! Thank you for sharing. Walker, we are all praying for you and your fearless work! Keep fighting! You can do this! 💙
I’m crying reading this. Prayers continue every day. Praise God that He can work for Walker’s good through this terrible ordeal. I keep thinking of the song “Hard Love” by Lauren Daigle. It has encouraged me to hold on and get back up through tough times.
Laura is such a precious girl. We continue to ask God to give you all strength and hope.
Tears in my eyes and joy in my heart. ....and a child shall lead them.
Our family doesn't know you Walker, though I met your mom & dad. Now through these posts we feel we know you & your family's struggles & HEARTS. Been praying unending since we heard you were admitted to the hospital & will lift up our prayers until you come home and are well again. In Jesus' name we pray!!!
