7-10 Walker 2.0

In the beginning God created 

and in the middle, or near the end depending on your point of view, sometimes God shakes

like California for example or in our case the McKnight family snow globe

It is as if God took our family, which was pretty well set up and things were going ok in our snow globe of life, and God shook it up hard and kept shaking for almost 4 months. All of us floating in unfamiliar space without anything to hold onto except Gods hand. Like astronauts floating in space tethered to the international space station - God.

And soon, like the end of the weekend or sooner depending, our snow will settle back down to a more familiar place as WALKER IS COMING HOME!!!

We got word yesterday that the powers that be, his Docs, have decided that he would be better off rehabbing from his home. We were thinking if all went well we would see him maybe middle of August. They will teach us to do the things he needs and send therapist to the house to work with him, we take to outpatient dialysis, and Candy, not Dave :-), will be in charge of wound dressings.

So we jumped into high gear, candy came home yesterday and we began doing what we thought we had lots more time to accomplish like moving his room to the office and the office to his room, deep cleaning the house, painting house outside which was to be a surprise for him and may still be if we get it done in time. We, as you can imagine, are super, very, very, very excited to have our son come home!! 👍👍👌👌👌👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇

Honestly, It seems surreal that he is coming home after all he has & we have been through. So many times, too many times to count did we think that things may not go in our favor. There are not proper words to describe what it feels like to know our son, an honest to goodness miracle, will be home in a few days.

Candy calls this Walker 2.0, a different young man is coming home, the same in many ways, but each of us have noticed strong differences in him. It will be very interesting to watch him unfold in the coming months. How has this extreme experience changed him. Stay tuned, as his journey home comes to an end to start a new beginning. 

Thanks be to God, our amazing awesome God, for his guiding hand on our lives and his strong tether to keep us close. We can all rejoice at Walkers homecoming!! Amen and Amen.
