Day 29 & 30

Sunday, Brenda had her dressings changed in the morning. That afternoon she was able to sit up in her stretch chair for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Later, the respiratory therapist came in to help her with breathing through her noise. She needs to be able to do this do that they canput a stop on her new trache, which enables her to talk.

Monday, Brenda had another SPA treatment. This took about 3 hours. Dr.Perry said the grafts were spreawell well. I do not believe I mentioned Howe grafts work. They do not cover the entire burn area with good skin. They cover part of the area anit grows the skin grows and covers the burn. She had to be put on medication after her SPA treatment again, her heart rate and blood pressure were out of control. It took about 3 hours to get it back to normal. Later in the day they workedagain on sitting up, she is not yet able to stand. They also had to work more on her breathing through her nosshe which she was not happy about. John talked her into it though and when they put a stop in the trache she said, "I love you John".
