Day 31 & 32

Tuesday Brenda had another 3 hour dressing change. Dr.Perry is pleased its her progress. The surgery scheduled for Thursday is when they will work on her ears  and other areas that need it. It was another 3 hour recovery period after the cleaning and medication was needed to control her heart rate. However, she was able to sit up later in the day with the help of her therapist. 

Wednesday a therapist came in to work on her swallowing. They cut cut thin pieces of ice that she could swallow. This caused her some discomfort. They are going to try again once all of her surgeries have been completed because fit now shestill has a feeding tube and medicine tube, and that makes swallowing very difficult. She wasAlison able to sit on the stretch chair for about an hour. The short time in the chair was due to e fact she had, had another dressing change that morning. Her surgery is still on schedule for Thursday ( today). Sorry about not posting yesterday, I will be better about it. Sheis still critical.
