Day 42, 43, 44, & 45

Saturday Brenda was active and the occupational therapist came in to work with her.

Brenda's Sunday included a trolley that lasted an hour and a half. As she heals the amount of time the trolley takes will reduce. Next, she had her breathing treatment. She had an ultrasound to check for blood clots in her arms and legs. Next, she had a CAT scan to check for clots in her lungs. No clots were found in her arms and legs, but a small one was found in a lung. She is taking medication to thin the blood and medication to reduce anxiety so she can sleep at night.

Monday, she had a good nights sleep. The physical therapist came in and did her upper body. They washed her face and hair. She had a trolley around noon  and she came back around two. For the first time she was alert after the trolley. Usually, she sleeps for a couple of hours. Later that afternoon the occupational therapist dI'd her lower body. Brenda worked very hard. Jack said that this was her best day yet. She is still critical, but improving.

Tuesday Brenda did not sleep. Her trolley time was only 30 minutes, but she slept the rest of the day.
