March Gladness!

We met with Cindy’s oncologist, Dr. J today (3/15) who reported that Cindy’s latest March 7 biopsy is good, excellent in fact, confirming that her remission is solid with no cancer in the bone marrow or no cancerous blast cells in the bloodstream.[...]

Day to day

The latest biopsy (#3) is behind Cindy so now we wait until we meet with the doctor next week (3/15) to discuss results and next steps.

Cindy’s feeling so much better and better each day that the idea of going back into the hospital for the week-long round of consolidation chemotherapy is more than a bit daunting.  I am with her on that but together we trust in God to direct the path ahead and guide us through to the future he has for us.[...]

Now what?

So after the most horrendous month of our lives featuring days when life seemed to literally hang in the balance and the prayers lifted up in our behalf were likely dense enough, in cloud terms, to generate a pretty good storm, now Cindy sleeps, wakes, hydrates, eats a little, downs some meds, rests, naps. Just in: REMISSION!

At about 10:50 a.m., three doctors came to Cindy's room to announce she is IN REMISSION!  Possibility of going home early next week to rest up for consolidation chemo in about a month.  Beyond that, we don't know much more but this is enough for now.  [...]
