So after the most horrendous month of our lives featuring days when life seemed to literally hang in the balance and the prayers lifted up in our behalf were likely dense enough, in cloud terms, to generate a pretty good storm, now Cindy sleeps, wakes, hydrates, eats a little, downs some meds, rests, naps. Cindy has finally returned home on day 35 since her AML diagnosis January 22nd. The day was bright and clear, a good day to return to home sweet home.[...]

At about 10:50 a.m., three doctors came to Cindy's room to announce she is IN REMISSION! Possibility of going home early next week to rest up for consolidation chemo in about a month. Beyond that, we don't know much more but this is enough for now. [...]

The Leptotrichia Trevisanii bacteria has been ruled out so the Trevisans are off the hook for now. Meanwhile, doctors seem to be teaming into Cindy’s room as work continues to get to the bottom of and treat an illusive bacteria, pneumonia and low blood potassium. [...]
I’m afraid the Trevisans are never going to live this one down. We learned something today that should make for an interesting family reunion because Cindy will surely hold this one over on us for a long time to come. Unfortunately, we have no defense. It’s medically documented.[...]

How about we include these in our prayers for her today as she gets a second biopsy to determine how treatment has taken hold while battling a new threat that arose yesterday, pneumonia?
