The Lord has shown me two remarkable qualities about Himself as I go through this cancer trial.[...]

I am so thankful God chose for me to have a sister to walk through life together. The many blessed years I have been granted to get to know her and spend time with her has been a blessing. We share many beautiful memories, and enjoy each other's company in the every day, and never lose sight of hope for the future. We have a forever bond and this bond is through our Savior and it will hold strong even throughout the ages of time.Today, I am glad to be alive and share this very special day with my sister. She is truly a gift from God and I treasure her friendship always.  [...]

As I lie in a hospital bed those sleepless nights after cancer surgery, I knew my life had suddenly changed. One of the first verses I recalled to mind came from Psalm 112:7: "(I) will not fear bad news, (my) heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord." From that time forward I purposed in my heart to accept God's direction for my new life and asked Him to keep me focused on Him and not on my grave situation.[...]

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him." ~Psalm 28:7[...]

"Take delight in the Lord, and He will (shape) the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this:" ~Psalm 37:4-5 NIV[...]

"But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works." ~Psalm 73:28

Today, my oncology doctors will have a conference call with the insurance company to determine whether I can continue receiving the three week cycle of an expensive form of Taxol for my chemo treatment. As I seek the Lord's direction in this matter, I am asking you to watch and pray with me as well. God's wisdom is greater than our wants or wishes. He knows no defeat. He will break up any schemes of those who try to thwart His plans.
I am so glad we can come together in these precious moments of prayer and join our hearts together asking for God's good will to be done.

Almost three weeks has gone by since my last chemotherapy and Glen and I will be traveling to Rochester early Wednesday morning for my second treatment.[...]
